Sourcefabric – redesigning the future of journalism

Hey folks. I was recently contacted by an interesting organization in Europe. They have a contest coming up that some of y'all might be interested in. (Prize is a trip to Prague!) Details and a message from their communications guy below.

We're a non-profit organisation supporting independent media through a variety of things from running contests challenging people to redesign news on the web (http://contest.sourcefabric.org), to building great broadcast networks in interesting places (http://www.wadr.org based in Dakar, using SoundCloud, satellite technology and open source software), to reporting on undercovered stories (http://sourcefabric.org/en/community/blog/670). We have our own CMS for journalists, and we're currently developing an open source newsroom management tool.

But perhaps it's the contest that might interest people the most. More details are below – any help you could give us on spreading the word about what we do would be great.

Many thanks, Adam
